St. Petersburg, FL – Today, State Representative Ben Diamond (D-St. Petersburg) announced raising over $1 million in his campaign for Florida’s 13th Congressional District.

The strength behind Ben Diamond’s campaign, by the numbers:
- Top Democratic Fundraiser: Rep. Diamond cleared $1 million total raised in January 2022. According to campaign finance reports filed January 31, he remains the leading Democratic fundraiser in the race for FL-13 for the third quarter in a row. The campaign has outraised all primary opponents, even accounting for other candidates who rolled over funds from previous campaigns.
- Broad Base of Support: Diamond has received grassroots support from contributors in each of Pinellas County’s 24 incorporated municipalities from St. Petersburg to Tarpon Springs.
- Powered by the People: In addition to being the top fundraiser among Democratic primary candidates, Diamond has earned the most grassroots support from donors contributing less than $200 total. Since launching his campaign, nearly 90% of his contributions have come from Florida donors, and he has received more than 1,800 grassroots donations of $100 or less.
The race to succeed Congressman Charlie Crist in FL-13 is expected to be one of the most competitive in Florida. District 13 includes St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and much of Pinellas County.

A Pinellas County native, Ben Diamond pledges to seek common sense solutions in Congress to the challenges he has focused on in the Florida Legislature. Those include climate change and the environment, criminal justice reforms to ensure everyone is treated equally regardless of race or ethnicity, and health care that is accessible and affordable.
