Meet Ben

The grandson of longtime Congressman Dante B. Fascell, Ben Diamond is a local attorney at Williamson, Diamond, & Caton, P.A. in St. Petersburg. He represents District 68 in the Florida House of Representatives.

Born in Clearwater and raised in Pinellas County, Ben earned his Bachelor's Degree from Yale University before returning to Florida to earn his law degree at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he served as the Editor-In-Chief of the Florida Law Review. His previous experience as an attorney includes time at national law firm Akerman Senterfitt and four years serving as an attorney under Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink, where he eventually rose to serve as General Counsel to the Chief Financial Officer and Florida Department of Financial Services.

An active member of his community, Ben serves on the Board of Directors for the Pinellas County Urban League, the Tampa Orlando Pinellas Jewish Federation, for his synagogue Temple Beth-El, and was appointed as the city of St. Petersburg's representative on the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority. He is also an active member of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, where he serves as co-chair of the Transportation Task Force, and the St. Petersburg Bar Association. Ben is a graduate of Leadership Florida and previously served on the Board of Directors of Leadership Florida.  

He lives in St. Petersburg with his wife, Christina, and their 4-year-old son, Frankie.
